Beachy Keen -- Part 1

We decided to ask some of our favorite people what they are bringing to the beach this summer:

Name: Joe Moller

Occupation: President, Joe Moller Events

Beach of Choice: Bay Street, Venice, CA.

Type of Bag: Really cool swag bag from an event with a big strap made from a seatbelt.

In the Bag: Lexon Radio, SPF 4 & 8, bottled water, and cocktails.

Type of Towel: Oversized Towel with Stripes -- easy to find when getting out of the water.

Type of Suit: Stussy Board Shorts.

NAME: OLIVIA SONG

Occupation:  Interior Designer, Olivia Song

Beach of Choice:  Elbow Beach, Byron Bay, Anquilla, anything really except the

icky rocky-pebbly beach along the French and Italian Riviera.

Type of Bag: No real affiliation. Currently using a printed canvas bag by Virginia Johnson. Anything easily folded flat into other luggage and machine washable. Nothing fashion victim-ish like that LV "LOVE" beach bag.

In the Bag:  Shisheido spray-on sunscreen, Kiehl's lip balm in the pot, tea-tree based mosquito repellent that I order from Australia, US Weekly, New York Magazine, The Economist, The New Republic, Ipod Shuffle, sunglasses, fabric headband purchased on the streets of SOHO (to keep the stray hairs out of my face), gum, and a bottle of water.

Type of Towel:  Usually whatever the hotel provides. Otherwise, I like a big white towel, the bigger the better. I like to observe the depth of my tan and white provides the best back drop.

Type of Suit: ERES 2 piece set.

Name: George Clinton

Occupation: Fashion Designer and Creative Director, George Clinton

Beach of Choice: Santa Monica or Malibu.

Type of Bag:  Lacoste oversized Le Croq tote.

In the Bag:  battery powered i home, uomo collezioni, sketch pad

and markers, fresh fruit, San Pellegrino, any continuous spf 30 spray.

Type of Towel: Hermes oversized beach towel.

The Suit: GC s/s 09 board shorts.

Name: Peter Davis

Occupation: Editor at Large, Paper/Writer

Beach of Choice: Tulum in Mexico.

Type of Bag: Martin Margiela Waxed cotton carry-all with an Obama pin on it.

In the Bag: Ipod with 12,000+ song (I should really DJ) Iphone,books (currently Tom Sykes' boozey memoir) and magazines (Vanity Fair, Tabloids of course, Paper). I should put sunscreen in there, but I never do.

Type of Towel: If i want to look cool, my Stephen Sprouse for Target towel, red, white and

blue.

The Suit: Tracy Feith.
